From First Look to Go-Home Day

Step 1 — Join Aurora Reserve (the surest way in)

Because Aurora kittens are usually spoken for before they’re listed anywhere, the best way to bring one home is to join Aurora Reserve. It’s a flat $500 that is your full deposit, and it gives you first look at every litter we raise — you’re first to know when a litter is born, first to see the kittens in a private preview, and first to choose. You’ll never lose your place, and you’ll never be handed a kitten you didn’t choose. See exactly how it works on the Aurora Reserve page.

Step 2 — Or check who’s available right now

Every so often, a kitten is available to reserve right away — you’ll find any current openings on our Available Kittens page. Because most kittens are claimed through the Reserve first, this page is often quiet, but when a kitten is there, you’re welcome to reserve them directly with your $500 deposit.

Step 3 — Not ready yet? Join the free waitlist

If you’re not ready to place a deposit, our waitlist is free. You’ll be notified when litters arrive, and you can choose from any kittens still available after our Reserve families have selected.

Step 4 — Choose your kitten

When a litter is ready to choose from, kittens are matched in this order: Reserve members first, by deposit date, then waitlist families who place a $500 deposit, and finally the public, if any kittens remain.

Reserve families rank the kittens they’d genuinely welcome, in order of preference, on our selection form and have a three-day selection window — each family is matched with the highest kitten on their list who’s still available. Step 5 — Stay close while your kitten grows

The moment you reserve, you’re welcomed right into the fold. Ashley and Dylan start a group text with you — one thread, both of us on it, for anything specific to your kitten. Every Monday, you’ll get a fresh update video of your kitten growing, playing, and getting into everything they shouldn’t, so you get to watch their whole babyhood unfold. You’ll also receive a series of emails that walk you through preparing for your kitten, one step at a time, so nothing ever feels rushed. And our Resource Library is always open — care guides and how-tos for every stage, from your kitten’s first days home through the years that follow, whenever you want to prepare or simply read ahead.

Step 6 — Final payment and vet care

Before go-home, every kitten receives a full vet exam, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and complete records. Your remaining $3,000 balance is due by the time your kitten is 10 weeks old, or before delivery is finalized, whichever comes first. We’ll email your final invoice. You’ll take those complete records home to share with your own vet — and if you’re still choosing one, our guide walks you through what to look for.

Step 7 — Bring your kitten home

Kittens go home between 13 and 14 weeks. Your reservation form asks how you’d like your kitten to travel — free local pickup, regional delivery, a flight nanny, or Ashley hand-delivering your kitten herself.
