Aurora Reserve
First Look at Every Litter
One deposit holds your place in line — and it never expires.
Why Reserve
Most Kittens Are Spoken For Before They’re Listed
Every Aurora litter is offered to our Reserve families first — and most of our kittens are spoken for before they’re ever listed publicly. Reserve is how families who know an Aurora kitten is in their future make sure they’re first in line when one arrives.
One deposit holds your place. From there, you meet every litter before the public does, and you choose in the order families joined.
Instead of a scramble, every family has a clear place in line and a genuine chance to choose. We wait until around seven weeks to show a litter on purpose — by then kittens have fluffed into themselves and their coloring has come in, so a preview is genuinely helpful.

A private preview at about seven weeks — a full week before the waitlist.
When a litter reaches about seven weeks, you’ll get a private preview — photos, videos, and honest notes on each kitten — a full week before the free waitlist sees them.

Same preview for everyone, three days to rank, matched in join order.

Choose in Reserve order
Same preview for everyone, three days to rank, matched in join order.
Every Reserve family gets the same private preview at the same time, and three days to send us a ranked list of the kittens they’d welcome. Once the window closes, families are matched in the order they joined Aurora Reserve. Leave a kitten off your list and we’ll never match you with them — and if every kitten you ranked goes to families ahead of you, that’s simply a pass on this litter, and your place stays exactly where it is.
4Or pass, and keep your place
Not the right litter? Pass — your spot never moves, your deposit never expires.

Not the right litter for you? Simply pass. Your spot stays exactly where it is — for the next litter, and the one after that. Your deposit never expires, and you can wait for as long as it takes to find your kitten.

Once you’ve chosen, your kitten is yours — and from that moment, we walk you through exactly what to expect, from reservation all the way to go-home day. The Part We Love
Your Home Shapes the Cat
At seven weeks, what you’re seeing is a beautiful first draft. Kittens keep growing into themselves all through their first year — and your home becomes the biggest influence of all. The bond you build and the routines you create are what shape the cat they become. If you’d like an honest look at what that commitment involves — the time, the money, the years — read Preparing for a Lifetime.

One or Two
Why Two Might Be the Right Choice
Some families reserve two. It’s worth considering in three situations: you already have an older cat or dog who won’t want to play with a kitten, your house is empty most of the day, or there are enough of you that one cat would be in constant demand.
If you do decide on two, you’d place two deposits of $500, which holds two places in line back to back. When your turn comes you’d choose twice in a row, so both kittens come from the same litter. That part matters — kittens who grow up together and go home together settle in far more easily than two who meet as strangers.
We don’t discount pairs; two kittens is $7,000. Travel is the exception — it’s charged per trip, not per kitten, so two kittens come home on one delivery.

This is where being in Reserve actually happens.
