What to Expect After You Reserve

You’ll Never Wonder What Comes Next

The Part Most Families Don’t Expect

Almost every family who comes to us has a story about a breeder who went quiet. They sent a deposit, and then nothing — no updates, no answers, weeks of silence and a growing knot in their stomach. By the time they find us, what they’re really asking isn’t how much or when.

“Will you talk to me?”

So that’s the part we built first. Reserving a kitten at Aurora isn’t the end of the conversation — it’s the beginning of a months-long one with Ashley and Dylan, who answer their own phones. From the day you reserve until the day your kitten is asleep in your house, there is never a stretch where you don’t know what’s happening.

Here’s exactly what that looks like.

What Happens After You Reserve

A Months-Long Conversation, Step by Step

01

You’ll Always Reach a Real Person

Once you’ve reserved, Ashley and Dylan start a group text with you — one thread, both of us on it. It becomes the home base for everything about your kitten. When something comes up, you’ll get an answer from whichever of us actually knows it, without chasing anyone down or waiting days to hear back.

You won’t need to check in to find out how your kitten is doing. We’re the ones who reach out.

02

Every Monday, a Fresh Video

Each Monday afternoon, we’ll send a new video of your kitten right to that group chat — growing, playing, getting into everything they shouldn’t. You’ll watch your kitten’s whole babyhood unfold, week by week, without missing a thing.

03

We’ll Get You Completely Ready

We’ll send you a series of helpful emails that walk you through everything you need — how to prepare your home, what to have on hand, what to expect in those first days, and all the little things in between. You’ll have plenty of time to do your shopping and get your space ready, so welcoming your kitten never feels rushed — just exciting.

04

We’ll Bring Them Home the Way That Fits You

When it’s time, we’ll sort out exactly how your kitten comes home — local pickup, regional delivery, a flight nanny (always in-cabin, never as cargo), or one of us hand-delivering them ourselves. See all the options and pricing on Bringing Your Kitten Home.

05

Simple, Predictable Payment

Your $500 Reserve deposit is your full deposit — the remaining $2,500 balance is due by the time your kitten is 10 weeks old, and your kitten comes home between 13 and 14 weeks, spayed or neutered, vet-checked, and fully prepared for family life. Nothing to track or figure out on your own.

Common Questions

Common Questions

When is the balance due?

Your $2,500 balance is due by the time your kitten reaches 10 weeks old, or before delivery is finalized — whichever comes first.

How old are kittens when they come home?

Between 13 and 14 weeks. Our mothers stay with their litters the entire time, which is a few weeks longer than many breeders — those last weeks are when kittens learn the most about being a cat, and it shows in how they settle into your home.

How often will I hear from you?

A video every Monday, plus emails timed to whatever’s coming next — preparing your home, the first few days, feeding, vet visits. Most of what you’d think to ask arrives before you have to ask it. Our Resource Library covers the rest, and it’s usually the fastest way to an answer. The group text with Ashley and Dylan is there for anything specific to your kitten.

Is the reservation deposit refundable?

The $500 deposit is non-refundable, but it never expires. If the kitten you reserved isn’t the right match in the end, your deposit moves forward with you until the right one comes along.
