Ragdolls are large, muscular cats with sturdy frames and soft, flowing fur. Males typically weigh 15–20+ lbs, while females range from 10–15 lbs.

Their semi-long coat is silky and low-matting, making them easier to groom than many long-haired breeds.

Ragdolls come in a variety of colors including seal, blue, chocolate, lilac, cream, and red, with three main patterns—colorpoint, mitted, and bicolor.
